Extending with Nationale-Nederlanden: how does it work?

We are happy to work on getting your pension plan in order. On this page, you will find the steps to implement the pension plan, as well as more information about the client investigation we conduct before the agreement is reached.

Step 1: Providing additional information

In addition to the signed agreement, we require information and documentation to carry out the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) process and to implement the pension scheme.

Customer Due Diligence (CDD): use of the Customer Due Diligence module in Mijn NN Zakelijk

To enter into a new agreement, we must first successfully complete the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) process. Once all required information and documentation have been provided, we will start reviewing the information to determine whether the agreement can be concluded.

The module:

  • includes smart integrations with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) and the UBO Register;
  • provides clear guidance and built-in validation checks; and
  • increases the likelihood that information is submitted completely and correctly the first time.

This contributes to a smoother and more efficient renewal process.

* The module is currently not available in English and cannot yet be used for affiliated companies. Does this apply to your situation? If so, click ‘New Pension Scheme’ in the top-right corner to see which information we require.

What do we expect from you?

- After we have received the signed Pension Administration Agreement (Implementation Agreement), you will receive an email via your adviser inviting you to complete the module.

- Please provide the following information to your adviser:
- The email address of the contact person responsible for the Customer Due Diligence process.

- If changed: the IBAN of the contracting party.

What we need to implement your pension scheme

The following information is required to implement your pension scheme. Please send it to your adviser, who will share it with their contact person at Nationale-Nederlanden.

  • Confirmation by email that all changes up to the renewal date of the existing contract have been reported to us through Mijn NN Zakelijk
  • Please let us know if you use payroll software integrations or Benefits Plaza.
  • For a Director-Major Shareholder (DGA): the supplement to the agreement for the Director-Major Shareholder pension plan, signed by the DGA and, if applicable, their partner.
  • In the case of a Group Term Life Insurance (CORV): a completed and signed CORV contract.
  • In the case of a Pension Check-up (Pensioen APK): a signed Pension Check-up agreement.
  • When transitioning to PPP Wtp with a flat contribution rate: the Future Pensions Act (Wtp) Transition Plan.

Step 2: Implementation

Once all necessary information has been received, we will implement the pension plan in our administration. We will also arrange the personal online portals for you and your employees.

Step 3: Access to the employer portal

Once the pension plan has been set up in the administration, you will receive an email confirmation within two weeks that your personal online environment Mijn NN Zakelijk is ready for you. If your advisor manages your pension plan, he/she will see your pension plan in his/her personal online environment at adviseur.nn.nl.

Step 4: Access to the employee portal

Employees will receive a welcome email to go to mijn.nn to view the pension plan on Inkomen Later. Here, they will gain insight into expected incomes for later. They will also be able to view various choices for their pension plan. Choices and changes can be made directly through the online environment.

You are now ready to get started on your own.

Personal Pension Plan Wtp with flat premium

Have you chosen Personal Pension Plan Wtp with a flat premium? Then you will transition to a pension plan according to the new rules of the Pension Future Act (Wtp). There are a number of additional legal obligations that apply.

  • As an employer, you are required to prepare a 'transition plan' and provide it to us. In this plan, your employees will receive an explanation of the choices you make for the new pension plan, what happens to previously accrued pensions, and why there is a balanced transition to the Wtp scheme. Your advisor can tell you more about this. As an executor, we are obliged to make your transition plan available online to your employees.
  • Your employees receive an overview from us. This is a comparison of the pension in the old and new situation. In this overview, your employee can read what the switch to the new pension means.
