Kenenisa Bekele aan start Marathon Amsterdam
Kenenisa Bekele, een van de topatleten in het NN Running Team, neemt op 21 oktober deel aan de Marathon Amsterdam. Bekele (36) heeft tijdens zijn carrière 21 wereldwijde titels op zijn naam gezet, en zes wereldrecords gebroken.
NN brengt als nieuwe sponsor de Hardloopsupporter naar Amsterdam
Kenenisa Bekele, een van de topatleten in het NN Running Team, neemt op 21 oktober deel aan de Marathon Amsterdam. Bekele (36) heeft tijdens zijn carrière 21 wereldwijde titels op zijn naam gezet, en zes wereldrecords gebroken. Hij liep een persoonlijk record (2:03:03) op de marathon van Berlijn in 2016, en hij is houder van het wereldrecord 5000m en 10.000m op de baan.
Als nieuwe sponsor van de Marathon Amsterdam, zet NN de ‘hardloopsupporter’ actie in; familie en vrienden kunnen een aanmoedigingsvideo opnemen voor hun eigen helden. De video wordt getoond op grote schermen langs het parcours, rond het 31 kilometerpunt. Op dat moment hebben veel lopers het zwaar, en deze persoonlijke aanmoediging heeft als doel hen te stimuleren om door te gaan.

In april 2017 lanceerde NN Group samen met Global Sports Communications en NIKE het eerste professionele hardloopteam ter wereld. Het team bestaat uit 60 topatleten uit 15 landen. Sinds de start behaalde het team 179 podiumplaatsen en won het 4 World Marathon Majors. Kenenisa Bekele (Ethiopië) is één van de atleten in het NN Running Team.
