Nationale-Nederlanden steunt tentoonstelling Erwin Olaf in Gemeentemuseum Den Haag

Maak dit voorjaar kennis met fotograaf Erwin Olaf. Zaterdag opende in het Gemeentemuseum Den Haag en het Fotomuseum Den Haag het langverwachte oeuvre overzicht. Nationale-Nederlanden is partner van de tentoonstelling in het Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, die tot 12 mei 2019 te bezoeken is.
De musea brengen met een dubbeltentoonstelling een eerbetoon aan een van Nederlands beroemdste fotografen: Erwin Olaf (1959). De fotograaf, die afgelopen jaar nog veel lof oogstte met zijn portretten van de koninklijke familie, wordt dit jaar zestig. Een goed moment voor een groots overzicht. Het Fotomuseum zoomt in op Olafs liefde voor het ambacht en de transitie die hij doormaakte van analoog werkende fotojournalist naar digitale beeldmaker en verhalenverteller. Bovendien brengt hij hier zo’n twintig foto’s bijeen van fotografen die een inspiratiebron voor hem vormden. Het Gemeentemuseum toont het vrije werk van Olaf vanaf het jaar 2000 tot aan zijn nieuwste series, waaronder de serie die hij maakte in Shanghai én zijn meest recente, nog niet eerder getoonde serie Palm Springs. Hier toont Olaf zijn fotografie als installaties, in combinatie met film, geluid en sculptuur.
Als tentoonstellingspartner van het Gemeentemuseum Den Haag helpt Nationale-Nederlanden om kunst en cultuur toegankelijker te maken voor een breed publiek.
