NN sloep gemaakt van gerecycled plastic gedoopt

Eerder dit jaar werd NN Group partner van Plastic Whale. Het doel van de samenwerking is het vergroten van bewustwording rond het plasticprobleem. Deze week werd het partnerschap bekrachtigd door de officiële doop van de NN Group sloep, gemaakt van 5,000 gerecyclede PET-flessen.
Refuse, reduce, recycle
De samenwerking met Plastic Whale is deel van een breder programma om de kantooromgeving van NN ter verduurzamen en om het bewustzijn over plasticgebruik te vergroten. Daarnaast gaat NN samenwerken met leveranciers rond het duurzame gebruik van plastic en alternatieven voor plastic. Het motto van het programma is: refuse, reduce, recycle.
Plastic Whale wil mensen enthousiasmeren om een bijdrage te leveren aan het verminderen van de plastic soep, door plastic te vissen uit Nederlandse wateren? (of zoiets) en om uit dit plastic afval economische waarde te creëren. Van het plastic worden prachtige sloepen en kantoormeubilair gemaakt. Vorig jaar werden een boardroom-tafel en stoelen geplaatst in het hoofdkantoor van NN Group.
Als onderdeel van de samenwerking heeft Plastic Whale een sloep gebouwd met het logo van NN Group erop. De sloep is gemaakt van 5,000 gerecyclede PET-flessen en wordt gebruikt om plastic te vissen. Eerder deze week werd de sloep gedoopt en medewerkers van NN gingen voor het eerst plastic vissen in de sloep. Bekijk deze video voor de hoogtepunten van de doop.
